What started as a little time

Many years ago when I was a small child, my grandparents used to take me to the annual Halloween party. Gram'ma would ask how I wanted to dress, and she would make it happen. I was Rainbow Brite one year. Another, I was Pippi Longstocking. A clown, a gorilla, Elvira. Anything I asked, she made. As I grew, I saw her make wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses and costumes for high school band. Then, one day, I was given the opportunity to make something of my own for a youth project. Gram'ma could make anything, so I asked her to make me a seamstress like her. What she knew and I didn't, was sewing took practice and patience. I could practice, but the patience was beyond me! However, she was able to help me understand how to read a pattern and follow the steps. Under her instruction, I attempted my first project. It was a simple, A-line dress with pockets. Next week, I'll let you know what happened.
